Description

The Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR), a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), currently operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. (Leidos Biomed) for the National Cancer Institute, is seeking information regarding Medicinal Chemistry Support.

The medicinal chemistry portion of this research project will involve the synthesis of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) targeted against cancer targets or phenotypes; these NCEs will be designed by scientists at Leidos Biomed and then synthesized by the offeror. Chemical leads for these biological targets will be identified from the literature or emerge from screening compound libraries at National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). Such leads will be optimized using medicinal chemistry where the Contractor will synthesize iterative rounds of groups of NCATS-designed novel compounds.

This will require the offeror to provide project management support to coordinate the synthesis of Leidos Biomed-designed NCEs and conduct necessary chemical characterization that provide identification and purity.

As part of this RFI S26-XX54 the following information is being requested:

*A Rough-Order-of-Magnitude (ROM) estimate of the above elements inclusive of labor, services, fees, materials and supplies, other pass-through costs, and any other costs needed to complete the requested tasks.

*Projected timelines and anticipated period of performance to complete the tasks outlined above.

This Request for Information (RFI) is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY and SHALL NOT be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. (Leidos Biomed). All information received will be handled as Proprietary Information. Based on responses, a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued.
