Advanced Biomedical Computational Science

The Advanced Biomedical Computational Science group develops state-of-the-art technologies in large scale data modeling, analysis and integration. The group is a technological hub of translational scientists with expertise in biology, chemistry, imaging and informatics. ABCS supports the scientific research at the Frederick National Laboratory by helping translate scientific questions to technical solutions for cancer and biomedical research.

ABCS support is provided through a variety of mechanisms, including provisioning of bioinformatics applications and databases, help with experimental design, data and results interpretation through consultation, large scale data mining and integration, collaboration and training, technology development and enhancement, outreach to local academic communities and national resources provided at other national labs, and serving as an interface with commercial and nonprofit organizations.
