Cellular Immunity Core

Overview

The mission of the Cellular Immunity Core (CIC) is to provide comprehensive flow cytometry, cell sorting and cellular immune analysis support to ACVP investigators, collaborators and associated non-human primate studies using advanced flow cytometry methods, instrumentation and software.

Scope of Activities

  • provide state-of-the-art phenotypic and functional immune monitoring for internal and collaborative non-human primate (NHP) studies
  • provide cutting-edge flow cytometry support and complex data analysis to the ACVP and collaborators
  • perform infectious single-cell and population sorting under biocontainment for ACVP investigators and collaborators
  • consult with investigators to determine their needs and the utility of flow cytometry towards their research goals
  • provide technical expertise and training to ACVP investigators and staff in the application of basic and advanced flow cytometry techniques and data analysis
  • develop innovations to address the current and future immunology and flow cytometry needs of the ACVP
  • provide novel NHP flow cytometry reagents to the AIDS research community
