Strain Information
Common Strain Name: 12T-7f Pricing and Ordering Information
Strain Nomenclature: CD-1-Tg(Pbsn-Tag)12T7Rjm/Nci
Animal State: Frozen Embryo
Release Category (Required for MTA form): B1

Strain Description: Transgenic mice expressing SV40 T antigen under control of the rat probasin promoter. Transgenic males develop multifocal epithelial lesions progressing to hyperplasia, low-grade dysplasia, high-grade dysplasia and carcinoma in situ. Aged females (16 weeks) develop neck tumors at a frequency of 10-20%. Transgenic males breed poorly.

Additional Information
Cryopreservation Mating Scheme: The cryopreservation mating scheme is wildtype CD-1 males x hemizygous females. When maintained as a live colony, breeder pairs were distributed as a hemizygous female x wildtype CD-1 male. Transgenic males are difficult to breed. Old females ^ 16 weeks sometime develop neck tumors (10-20%). Average litter size is 10-14.
