Women in Science Speak 2023
Celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on Friday, February 10, 2023 with us at Hood College!
Join Woman to Woman Mentoring, Inc., Hood College and Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc., current operator of the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research, for a lively discussion on inspiring and creating space for women in science. A virtual option will also be available for those who cannot attend in-person.
During the discussion, participants will hear firsthand from women in science share their perspectives on pursuing careers in science, advancing allyship and mentorship, achieving goals through self-advocacy, and more. Afterwards, there will be a networking opportunity available to in-person participants.
Doors open: 9 a.m.
Panel discussion: 9:30 - 11 a.m.
In-person networking opportunity: 11 a.m - 12 p.m.
This is event is free to attend with a hybrid option. When you register, you can select how you'll participate, whether in person or online.
