The Partnership Development Office offers a range of contractual agreements to fit a variety of partners and projects. All partnership agreements are subject to administrative review by the National Cancer Institute to ensure compliance with the federally funded research and development center contract, agency policy, federal regulations, and statutes.

We work with three major agreement types:

  • Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) facilitate the exchange of materials for research or testing between the Frederick National Laboratory and a partner.

  • Collaboration Agreements enable intellectual and material contributions and unfunded collaborative work between the Frederick National Laboratory and one or more partners.

  • Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) enable the Frederick National Laboratory to collaborate with one or more partners on jointly conducted research and accept cost-recovery funding from partners. Intellectual property and other research outcomes are shared among the partners.
