Description
Leidos Biomedical Research Inc.’s (Leidos Biomed) Clinical Monitoring Research Program Directorate (CMRPD) provides high-quality comprehensive and strategic operational support to the high-profile domestic and international clinical research initiatives of the National Institutes of Health. CMRPD provides comprehensive, dedicated support to assist National Institutes of Health (NIH) researchers in providing the highest quality of clinical research in compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines, maintaining data integrity, and protecting human subjects.
One of the primary objectives of the NIH is to provide an effective rapid response of clinical research activities in support of priorities as set forth by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the NIH, and other government agencies to include emerging and re-emerging diseases (ED) and other high-impact clinical research. The implementation and conduct of clinical research projects, both domestic and international, are unpredictable regarding timing, scope, location, and scale. Therefore, flexibility and speed are critical to an effective rapid research response.
Multiple NIH institutes and divisions have engaged Leidos Biomed to establish contractual mechanisms to support, manage and oversee high-priority, time-sensitive clinical research operations for new and urgent emerging and re-emerging diseases and clinical research of global health importance.
