Dr. Shari Price is the head of the Investigative Toxicology Laboratory. Price joined the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research in May 2022 along with two other new staff members as part of the restaffing and retooling of this laboratory. She completed her Ph.D. in cell/molecular biology at the University of Miami School of Medicine, focusing on Muc4 expression regulation in normally developing mammary glands and mammary tumors. Price then worked at Sunol Molecular/Altor Biosciences, where she was involved in research, discovery, and preclinical development of cancer therapies based on soluble T-cell receptors. Prior to joining Frederick National Laboratory, Price worked for almost 19 years as a senior research pathologist at Charles River Laboratories, where she focused on tissue cross-reactivity assessments of monoclonal antibodies and antibody-based therapeutics, as well as other immunohistochemical staining/evaluation in support of toxicologic pathology studies.
