Robert Honec, currently pursuing his PhD in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics at George Mason University, received both an MS in Biotechnology and an MBA from the Johns Hopkins University. In addition, his undergraduate work was in integrated science and technology (BS ISAT) with a focus on biotechnology and information management. As a supervisor, Mr. Honec works with the government to make sure all medical technologists meet training standards. He assists pathologists by choosing patient antibody panels based on patient clinical history and treatments, and submits them for approval. Rob also oversees a variety of equipment, antibody inventory, QC results tracking, and the laboratory’s biennial inspection by the College of American Pathologists/CLIA.
