Dr. Christopher Thornburg obtained his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Oregon State University, where he studied the isolation and structure elucidation of biologically active marine natural products under the guidance of Dr. Kerry McPhail. He joined the Natural Products Support Group at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research in 2013, where he focuses on integrating natural products using high-throughput platforms and discovering natural product drug leads from microbial, marine, and plant sources.
