Dr. Claire Deleage received her Ph.D. from the University of Rennes in France. She joined the AIDS and Cancer Virus Program at the Frederick National Laboratory in 2013 as a post-doctoral fellow.
In 2017, Dr. Deleage was appointed the head of the Tissue Analysis Core (TAC) where her team is to this day pushing the limits of image analysis by developing state of the art assays and tools to help principal investigators answering key questions in HIV/AIDS research.
In 2025, Dr. Deleage established the Viral Imaging and Pathogenesis Section where her work focuses on understanding sexual transmission of HIV using the non-human primate model and the pathogenesis and immune responses during co-infection of HIV and other pathogens like Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, Monkeypox or gamma herpes viruses.
